The Library and Documentation Services Directive of our University has been revised in line with the decisions taken and has entered into force in its updated form.
Within the scope of this revision, certain provisions regarding the delivery of library services have been amended, and the regulations concerning user rights and responsibilities as well as borrowing procedures have been restructured. In addition, updates have been made to the practices concerning overdue and lost materials.
In this context:
- A late fee of 10 TL per item per day will be charged for overdue materials.
- For hourly loaned materials, a late fee of 10 TL per item will be charged for each hour of delay.
- For audiovisual materials, a late fee of 10 TL per item per day will be applied for each day of delay.

In the event that a borrowed library item is lost or damaged beyond use, the user is required to provide an identical replacement. If the item is out of print and cannot be supplied, the current replacement cost will be charged as a loss fee for each item. In addition, overdue fines will continue to accrue for items not returned by the due date. A processing fee of 400 TL (for labeling, magnetic strip, etc.) will also be charged for lost items.
- Penalties related to materials requested from other universities through Interlibrary Loan (ILL) will be applied at twice the rate of those for materials in our library collection.
All users are kindly requested to act in accordance with the updated provisions.
