We would like to inform you about the current status of the 2026 Open Access quotas under the TÜBİTAK–Wiley 2026–2028 Open Access Agreement.
Gold / Full Open Access Journals
The 2026 quota allocated for Gold/Full Open Access journals was exhausted on August 12, 2026.
- For articles submitted for TÜBİTAK Open Access support in 2026 and currently “Under Review,” if the article is accepted between August 12 and December 31, 2026, Open Access support cannot be provided under the agreement due to the exhaustion of the 2026 quota. The article will automatically be directed to the “Author Pays” option.
- For articles submitted for TÜBİTAK Open Access support in 2026 and currently “Under Review,” if the article is accepted in 2027, authors may benefit from the agreement provided that the 2027 quota is available and the required post-acceptance author workflows are completed.
- For articles submitted to journals in 2026 and currently “Under Review,” if they are accepted in 2027, authors may apply to benefit from the agreement after completing the required post-acceptance author workflows.
- For Gold/Full Open Access journals, regardless of whether an Open Access application has previously been submitted to TÜBİTAK, the agreement can only be used if quota is available at the time the article is accepted and the post-acceptance author workflows are completed.
- An Open Access application submitted to TÜBİTAK at the manuscript submission stage and its approval do not constitute a quota reservation. The approval granted by TÜBİTAK is a conditional approval and becomes effective only if quota is available when the article is accepted and the required author workflows are completed.
Hybrid Journals
The 2026 quota allocated for Hybrid journals was exhausted on September 15, 2026.
- Open Access applications cannot be submitted for articles accepted between September 15 and December 31, 2026.
- For Hybrid journals, applications to benefit from the agreement can be submitted after the article has been accepted.
- For articles accepted in 2027, authors may apply to benefit from the agreement after completing the required post-acceptance author workflows, provided that the 2027 quota is available.
In order for the article’s acceptance date to be reflected in the system, the corresponding author must complete the license-signing process and all required post-acceptance author workflows.
